Forgive and Forget
Something that occurred to me last night at Pyr when “hardhearted forgiveness” was mentioned, I realized I had been doing that for years and thinking it was right. I had been forgiving people for what they had done, but still holding on the memory of they’d done to me. The Bible says that when God forgives us He casts our sins as far as the East is from the West and that He chooses to forget them. So instead of forgiving and remembering, it is very important to forgive and FORGET, or at least choose not to hold onto that action as something you recognize the person who wronged you by. I know I’ve struggled with unforgiveness of others and myself, and this is a greatly encouraging thing to learn for me, because it allows for freedom to rejoice and be happy around others.
On a completely different note, I will probably be covering a song soon, in theory it will either be Princess of China by Coldplay, or Cosmic Love by Florence + the Machine.
